Frequently asked questions
How far ahead can I plan a party?
The booking experience is designed to show availability at least two months in advance.
Can the Purple rooms be combined?
Yes. Purple A and Purple B in Phase 2 are divided from one larger room and can be opened into Grand Purple.
Where is MAXFUN?
We are at 35 Ernest Oppenheimer Ave, Bruma, Johannesburg.
How many participants can I have in the party room?
Party bookings require a minimum of 8 participants. Phase 1 capacity: Red and Pink rooms accommodate up to 50 participants; Blue, Yellow and Green rooms accommodate up to 30. Phase 2 capacity: Turquoise and Orange rooms accommodate up to 50 participants; the Purple room accommodates up to 30.
Do you allow external catering?
External catering is not permitted. You may bring sealed party packs and a cake. MAXFUN also offers a selection of platters and mains for your guests.
Can I bring my own décor?
Yes. You may bring your own decorations and balloons, but piñatas are not permitted. You have 15 minutes to set up. If you need more setup time, please contact MAXFUN in advance and we will do our best to assist.
Do I need to queue when I arrive?
No. On arrival, your guests may proceed directly to the allocated party room.
Is a deposit required to secure my party booking?
Yes. A 50% deposit is required to secure the booking, and a party cannot be held without payment. The remaining balance must be paid at least 7 days before the party.
What if I have children of different ages?
Please email our team and we will recommend the most suitable package for your group.
Do adults need to pay?
For Phase 1 parties, adults who participate in activities pay the applicable on-peak rate. Adults may remain in the party room free of charge. An adult accompanying a child into the play area only needs to purchase MAXFUN grip socks for R35. One accompanying parent is permitted per child.
What meals are available for the children?
Children may choose chicken tenders and fries, mini burgers and fries, fish sticks and fries, Margherita pizza, or BBQ chicken and cheese pizza. Meals do not need to be the same for every child. Confirm selections at least 72 hours before the party. If no selection is received, the default is chicken tenders, fries and juice. Please email dietary requirements with your booking and we will do our best to accommodate them.
What is the party cancellation and refund policy?
A 50% deposit secures the party and the remaining balance is due at least 7 days before the event. If a party or school-group booking is cancelled with less than 14 days’ notice, the deposit is forfeited. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
